The 17-year old Israeli singer Ella-Lee Lahav is being accused by some K-pop fans for copying Mamamoo's HIP song.
Produced by Johnny Goldstein, Ella Lee’s debut single is titled 'Zot Ani' and is in Hebrew. The song and video can be considered very K-Pop in style and it is considered to be a bold choice for a debut single as the style is K-pop with the singer being Israeli and the lyrics are in Hebrew. However, the track is gearing up to be a hit all over Israel with more than one million views on YouTube.
Moreover, the singer has been a hardcore K-pop fan since childhood. She even performed Blackpink's 'Kill This Love', becoming the first person to perform a K-pop song in front of a live audience.
She is also often referred to, by local media, as the "girl who introduced K-pop" to Israel.
Personal opinion:
It's only the beginning that sounds similar
