Who is Jang Hanna?

A former YG trainee and SBS K-Pop Star 3's contestant, Jang Hanna, will officially debut on 1st May 2020 with her self-written song 'Runnaway'.

She has also collaborated with The Proof, a production team, that had worked on songs for iKON and Pentagon's Hui.

Hanna has been a trainee with the YG Entertainment for three years, and it was once rumored that she would likely join girl group Blankpink in their debut. However, it was later revealed that she was preparing for a solo.

Why is YG Entertainment being critized?

First of all, the upcoming debut of Hanna has made fans very excited, but this has also made them reflect on the treatment of her previous company towards her.

She was scouted by YG Entertainment in 2014 when she participated in K-Pop Star 3. However, even 6 years after the show, she did not debut while still being in the company.

This has lead to strong suspicions about YG Entertainment's mis-management of trainees. YG Entertainment has been always been the focus of mis-managing both idols and trainees alike.

Netizens are happy that Hanna will finally debut, and are worried that other YG trainees would not be lucky as Hanna.

Let's us congratulate Jang Hanna for her upcoming debut and wish her all the best for her future path.

What are your thoughts?
